PAPU Secretary General meets Minister of Communications, Knowledge and Technology of Botswana.

The Secretary General of the Pan African Postal Union, Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo has held a tete-a-tete with Hon. Thulagano Merafe Segokgo, Minister of Communications, Knowledge, and Technology, and Member of Parliament for Tlokweng of the Republic of Botswana on the sidelines of the 11th Southern Africa Operators’ Association (SAPOA) Postal Forum.

In the meeting, Dr. Moyo briefed the Hon. Segokgo on the vital role of the postal sector in the ever-changing and dynamic world.

“PAPU will continue harnessing the energy, expertise, knowledge, and goodwill of the Partners and Technology Suppliers that are participating in these Forums to source for cut-edge ICT & digital tools and solutions to leapfrog the sector in the areas of Financial Inclusion Services, e-commerce, eGovernment and Trade facilitation said Dr. Moyo.

The Honorable Minister Segokgo expressed his confidence in the viability and relevance of the Post courtesy of the innovation efforts by Botswana Post. He assured the PAPU SG that Botswana would support the country’s postal sector and PAPU activities.
