CHINESE AMBASSADOR TO TANZANIA PAYS VISIT TO THE NEW PAPU BUILDING

The Ambassador of China to Tanzania, Her Excellency, Ms Chen Mingjian has today paid a visit to the ongoing construction of the new iconic PAPU Tower in Arusha.

During her visit, Dr. Sifundo Moyo- the PAPU General Secretary was at hand to recieve her. Dr Moyo expressed the Union’s gratitude to China on various efforts towards strengthening the postal sector in Africa by the China State Post Bureau especially the training of PAPU members on e-commerce readiness conducted. China State Post Bureau is an important partner of the African Post.

“We are expecting to have the official commissioning of this building by 30th August this year, your visit is a good gesture to us and it’s our hope that by then the Contractor would have completed all the outstanding work within time” said Dr. Moyo.

Ambassador Mingjian reiterated China’s good friendship to Africa particularly on development, and thus reaffirmed her country’s support to PAPU through its Designated Operator China State Post Bureau.

Finally, Dr. Moyo extended an invitation to Ms. Mingjian to the official commissioning of the PAPU Towers which will be done by the President of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.
