PAPU Secretary General addresses Africa Postal Leaders Forum.
The PAPU Secretary General Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo, has today addressed delegates from the postal sector in Africa attending the first ever Africa Postal Leaders Forum taking place in Abidjan, Côte D’ivoire.
Dr. Moyo expressed his gratitude to the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for organizing and providing fellowships to delegates from 45 African countries to attend this first ever Africa Postal Leaders Forum 2023.
“This forum clearly demonstrates the seriousness with which we view the role of leadership in this important phase of the Postal Sector’s journey to re-asserting its relevance and contribution to the socio-economic fabric of our societies” he stated.
He further noted that the journey to Digital Transformation and Innovation of the Post needs proper partners like African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African Telecommunications Union (ATU), Smart Africa and The Africa CDC in various capacities.
Dr. Moyo took time to remind PAPU Members of the invitation to the 41st PAPU Ordinary
Administrative Council Session which will be held (21st-25th August) back-to back with Commissioning Programme of our iconic and mercurial new PAPU Headquarters Building (28th-30th August) which will climax inauguration of the building by the Her Excellency, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan.
