PAPU SG PAYS COURTESY CALL ON SENEGAL’S MINISTER

Dr Moyo was received in audience yesterday, 25th May 2023, by the head of Senegal’s line Ministry for the Postal Sector, H.E. Moussa Bocar Thiam, who had presided over the official opening of the African Postal Regulators Conference two days earlier on 23rd May.
The SG requested the Minister to thank the Government of Senegal for its unwavering support to PAPU as once more demonstrated in the hosting of two major back-to-back events.
The Minister encouraged PAPU to forge ahead with its postal development agenda despite the seemingly overwhelming hurdles, to reposition the sector as a pivotal driver of inclusive socioeconomic development.
Both leaders agreed that, overall, for a first try by Senegal, the hosting of the events had been a masterstroke that deserves to be replicated for further engagements in charting the way forward for Africa’s Post.
