Libya Post Chairman visits PAPU General Secretariat
The Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) Secretary General, Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo, welcomed Mr. Sami Elgezawi, Chairman of Libya Post, during his visit to the Union’s Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
Dr. Moyo commended Libya’s significant role as one of the 25 founding members of PAPU, expressing optimism for strengthened collaboration in fulfilling the original vision of the postal body.
“Our joint efforts aim to enhance postal services, highlighting Libya’s pivotal role in advancing the African postal sector. PAPU firmly supports the rejuvenation and development of Libya Post,” affirmed Dr. Moyo.
Mr. Elgezawi expressed Libya Post’s readiness to reconnect with the global community, particularly with PAPU, emphasizing their interest in engaging with the vibrant African Postal Community.
He highlighted Libya Post’s upcoming initiatives, including the launch of new postal financial services hinged on Fintech, and the implementation of projects such as the National Addressing System. These efforts aim to rejuvenate Libya Post, transforming it from its 2010 state into a modern, dynamic entity that adapts to the evolving postal landscape.
