PAPU AND NM-AIST SIGNS MoU FOR CAPACITY BUILDING
The Pan-African Postal Union (PAPU) and the Nelson Mandela – African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) have signed a cooperation agreement today focusing on developing the African Postal sector.
During the signing ceremony held at the NM-AIST in Arusha, the PAPU General Secretary, Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo, said the event is vital to the African post as it will go a long way in achieving the founding fathers’ dreams of ensuring the relevance of the Post to the citizens of Africa.
In the same measure, Vice Chancellor Prof. Maulilio Kipanyula alluded that the MoU signifies a considerable step towards leveraging digital technology and innovation to bring transformative changes in postal services across the African continent.
The activities in the agreement will range from digital skills development to the digitalization of postal services, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital innovation, and digital financial services. It is a testament to the willingness of both parties to work together in solving challenges facing our society and the industry.
