Dr Sifundo Chief Moyo is the Secretary General of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), a specialised agency of the African Union responsible for the development of postal services in Africa, based in Arusha, the United Republic of Tanzania.
Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo is an experienced Pan African Postal Diplomat, leader and business strategist whose expertise and passion for postal services is firmly grounded in his strong academic background and extensive international industry experience that is built on deep postal technical training and his postal consultancy work. Mr. Moyo has held several senior leadership positions in the industry capped by being the Chief Executive Officer and Post Master General of Zimbabwe Posts (Pvt) Ltd., as well as being the Chairman of the CEO’s Forum of the Southern Africa Postal Operators Association (SAPOA).
Dr. Moyo has been part of the African continent arch-exponents of postal sector growth and development for over 25 years. He has participated in international postal events, forums, meetings and conferences that have been instrumental in crafting the transformation path of the postal industry under the auspices of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU), and the Southern African Postal Operators Association (SAPOA) and other international postal bodies.
His vision is to model PAPU to become an effective catalyst for postal transformation and development that will propel African Posts to operate in the digital space to meet the expectations of African citizens, businesses and Governments at the level comparable to global-benchmarked standards. The Renewal and Relevance Agenda for PAPU is central to his vision of championing Africa’s postal sector transformation and progression in line with the PAPU Acts in pursuit of the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 Vision and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
