the Regional Transport Forum

The Universal Postal Union in collaboration with the Pan African Postal Union is organizing, in Arusha, Tanzania, the Regional Transport Forum from this morning until 8 December 2023.
The objective of the Forum is building a Regional Think Tank that will devise and propose actionable strategies and policies to improve regional transport networks, while offering meaningful technical assistance to all Designated Operators (DO) in Africa.
The Forum will be bringing together Transport Experts from the DOs, Heads of Restricted Unions as well as some selected carriers and other institutional partners.
Participants will engage in an in-depth exploration of critical transport issues, such as transport security, transitioning to paper-free transport solutions, assessing needs for creating Regional Transport Hubs, among others. This Forum will be also an opportunity to take stock of EAD compliance and share our best practices in this area in the Africa continent.
