PAPU Digital Financial Services Workshop Underway in Arusha
The highly-anticipated PAPU Digital Financial Services Workshop commenced yesterday, 11 December 2024, in Arusha, Tanzania, and will run until tomorrow, 13 December 2024. Officially opened by PAPU Secretary General, Dr. Chief Moyo, with the Assistant Secretary General, Mrs Ssengooba, in attendance, the workshop has brought together key stakeholders in the postal and financial sectors to explore the role of of the post in advancing digital financial services across Africa.
Esteemed partners such as the Universal Postal Union (UPU), VISA, Paytota, and other financial technology leaders are actively participating, providing valuable insights and expertise.
The workshop aims to empower African postal operators with innovative strategies and tools to harness digital finance, fostering greater financial inclusion and supporting the e-commerce boom.
Participants are engaging in interactive sessions, exchanging best practices, and strategizing on the future of digital financial services in the postal ecosystem. This initiative aligns with PAPU’s strategic vision for a digitally empowered African postal network.
