PAPU HOUSE sinking its roots…
Friday, 19th June 2020 witnessed a visit by Dr. Zainabu Chaula, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications, and Mr. Younouss Djibrine, PAPU Secretary General, to the site of the future PAPU Headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. Flanked by the lead engineer, both personalities expressed satisfaction with the progress of the futuristic edifice.
Filled with the overall satisfaction and reassurance that work was progressing smoothly, they left the site after conveying their congratulations and encouragement to the entire project team.
Mr. Younouss Djibrine said he was particularly delighted that the project was coming to fruition. Upon completion, the 17-storey tower – the tallest in the city – will not only transform the working environment at PAPU but will equally give a fresh facelift to the city of Arusha. He thanked the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania for its invaluable support in the actualization of this project.
As a refresher, the PAPU House Project is a joint venture between PAPU and the Government of Tanzania, represented by the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA).
Construction work officially launched on 18th January 2020 by the personal representative of the Head of State, the Hon. Eng. Isaack Kamwelwe, Minister of Works, Transport and Communications, is expected to take thirty (30) months.
