PAPU SG Visits Kenya

Yesterday, Dr. Moyo was received in audience by the Principal Secretary of Information, Communications and Digital Economy Prof Edward Waswa Kisiang’ani and the PMG for Kenya Post Corporation Mr Tonui. The PS outlined the Government ‘Bottom Up’ policy of empowering those at the bottom of the economic pyramid. He indicated that the Post is in the centre of that empowerment initiative. Kenya has completed the E-Commerce Strategy which will be supported by the digitalisation of postal services, creation of Hot Spots, Assembling or manufacturing of affordable cellphone handsets, implementation of a Optic Fibre plan that will add 1000 km and see more people connected to the Superhighway. The PS appealed for Ccspacity building and technical support from PAPU while also assuring PAPU that the Government will honour its obligations to PAPU.
