PAPU PARTNERS WITH ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE FOR AIRMAIL DELIVERY
The Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) and Ethiopian Airlines forged a strategic partnership in a historic move to revolutionize airmail transportation across Africa. This landmark collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency and reach of airmail services and marks a significant milestone in the continent’s postal and aviation sectors.
The partnership was officially announced at the just-concluded 42nd Administrative Council of the Pan African Postal Union in Arusha, Tanzania, attended by dignitaries and postal officials from across the continent. In his remarks, PAPU Secretary General Dr. Sifundo Chief Moyo highlighted the significance of the collaboration.
“This partnership with Ethiopian Airlines is a game-changer for the African postal sector,” Dr. Moyo stated. “By leveraging Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive route network and logistical expertise, we can ensure faster, more reliable airmail services that meet the needs of our growing economies and burgeoning e-commerce sector.”
Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew Bekele echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to supporting Africa’s development through enhanced connectivity.
